Rutgers indoor stadium was rocking Saturday with over 200 of the top athletes from the north east. The Badger Sports Skills camp had the following states in attendance New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maine.
The day started off with Virginia, Maryland and Connecticut going undefeated in the round robin pool play. They had a first round bye in the single game elimination. The New Jersey 1 team had two plays New Jersey 2 in a tough first round game. Then New Jersey 1 had to fight off a scrappy New Hampshire team in the semi-finals to make to the finals where they would face a tough Connecticut team.
The New Jersey team played tough defense and was able to hold Conneticut to 6 points in the finals. The final score was 12-6 and New Jersey 1 kept the north east trophy home.
