| Phillips has proven when he is healthy he is one of the best pass catchers in the country. He is a tremendous red zone weapon. He uses his body well to shield defenders from the ball. Plays physical and will block, just needs to show that he can stay healthy. He missed out on the combine circuit, but his film was so impressive that it didn’t really hurt his stock.Bob Lichtenfels - Scout.com

| Biography: |
| As a junior, Shakim Phillips caught 40 passes for 770 yards and 12 touchdowns. He says he can bench 290-pounds, squat 400 and claims a 38-inch vertical jump.
Phillips only played in four games as a sophomore because of a lower back injury, but still managed to haul in 22 catches for 386 yards and four touchdowns.
Phillips says he wants to major in business management and reports a 2.6 core GPA and is taking the SAT in June.
Phillips: “I try to catch every pass the quarterback throws. I love being physical and I’m really aggressive. I’ll go get anything.
“I still want to improve my technique. I want to improve my route running and coming out of breaks. I need to stay lower.”
